Is suitable for adults and older children with a moderate to severe hearing loss with multiple causes.
The Cochlear Osia System is a hearing implant which bypasses non-functional areas of the ear transmitting sound directly to the cochlear. The external processor is high power and very discrete.
Surgery for an Osia System takes around an hour and can be performed as a day case.
The implanted hearing device is activated by our specialist audiologists approximately 2 months after surgery. We offer a structured programme of fine-tuning and rehabilitation to ensure that you obtain the best possible outcome from your Osia System.
