Consultant ENT Surgeon working at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.. He has performed 279 cochlear implants (CI) over 5 years and he has an international reputation for technical ability and meaningful measurement of benefit, including the preservation of natural hearing following CI surgery. As well as lecturing about cochlear implants, he is frequently invited to speak at national and international meetings on Bone Conduction Implants (e.g Baha) for people with moderate or single-sided hearing loss.

Dr Martin O’Driscoll
Consultant Clinical Scientist in Audiology at Manchester Royal Infirmary. He has over 20 years’ experience in the field of audiology and hearing implants for children and adults and is Head of the Audiology and Hearing Implant team at Manchester Royal Infirmary and Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. He is an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Manchester, national assessor for the Association of Clinical Scientists and is an elected trustee of the British Cochlear Implant Group (BCIG). He is frequently invited to speak at national and international meetings on hearing implant devices and outcomes.

Mr Adam Walker
Clinical Scientist in Audiology and the Lead Paediatric Audiologist at the Trafford Hospitals Division of the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. Prior to this he worked at the Manchester Hearing Implant Programme, helping both adults and children benefit from life-changing cochlear implants. In 2017, Adam was the inaugural winner of the British Academy of Audiology & National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS) Paediatric Audiologist of the Year Award.

Ms Lise Henderson
Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist and was one of the first LSLS Certified Auditory Verbal Therapists in the UK. She has been working with children with hearing loss since 1998 and became the Co-ordinator of the Paediatric Hearing Implant Programme based at Manchester Royal Infirmary and Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital in 2003. She has lectured both nationally and internationally and has mentored many Certified Auditory Verbal Therapists.
